My year of buying only cruelty-free beauty products is going great! And the arrival of my quarterly Vegan Cuts Makeup Box is such a joyful addition to this goal. This is the third box I have received, and I’m still thrilled which is always a good feeling from a subscription box. Let’s check out what’s in the spring Vegan Cuts Makeup Box!
I purchased this box with my own money but as an ambassador for Vegan Cuts the links in this post are affiliate links. Purchasing via these links earns me a small commission. All opinions on about the products are 100% my own.
The first item I pulled out was this Jersey Shore Cosmetics eyelash curler. Now, I was under the impression that all eyelash curlers were the same. But apparently, I am super wrong. This is never a phrase I thought I’d write, but this curler is really comfortable to use. There’s not a pulling or tugging feeling, which I always had with my old one. I have no idea what the difference is. But I am loving this one, and immediately threw my old one out.
Next up is Beauty Without Cruelty Full Volume Mascara. As someone who is pretty picky about mascaras I’m really impressed with this one! It provides both volume and length with minimal clumping. And it has really good staying power; no raccoon eye at the end of the day. However it is not at all waterproof, so if you’re going to be crying and/or laughing so hard you cry, you will have massive black lines running down your face/smeared underneath. Not that I know from experience or anything.
The Elate Cosmetics Moisturizing Lip Gloss is the only thing I’m feeling pretty ‘meh’ about. For one, I am not a gloss girl. Matte all the way. Second, I’m just really not sure I like this color. It’s a nice magenta purple, but it’s SO glossy that is looks almost metallic when on my lips? Plus with my purple hair, I’m just not feeling it.
I love the Han Skin Care Romance Eye Shadow however! The color is gorgeous, a lovely rose gold, and it has great staying power. Normally when I do full eye makeup, by the end of the day it’s all bunched in my eyelid crease. Yuck. This eye shadow stays in place with no smearing or getting caught anywhere. Love it.
Perhaps my favorite product in this box is this Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer & Highlighter Duo (though it’s one mouthful of a name.) It’s so perfect for spring, and adds a great highlight/contour combo. I’m still in the I-don’t-really-know-how-to-use-bronzer camp, but I’ve been using it for a light cheekbone contour and really like that effect. This particular set isn’t too dark which works great for my pale skin.
All in all, the spring Vegan Cuts Makeup Box was great! I love that this box was basically a full makeup look, especially for someone like me who doesn’t use foundation. In fact, I use many of these items as my go-to picks on days that I wear makeup!
I’m wearing all but the lip color in the pic above and it’s my fave daily wear type look. Minimal and soft. Can’t wait to see what comes in my summer box!
